On October 26, KERIS officially joined the m-Education Alliance (Mobiles for Education Alliance) steering committee, the International Education Development Cooperation Council in the area of ICT in Education.

M-Education Alliance Steering Committee was formed in 2010 to address worldwide education and digital divide through the educational use of information and Communications Technology (ICT). Centered around the US Department of State and the US Agency for International Development (USAID), World Bank, UNESCO, UNICEF, British Council and International Edutech Association (ISTE) are actively participating in the committee. KERIS is the first organization to join in the Asia-Pacific region.

Anthony Bloome, Senior Education Technology Specialist in USAID mentioned that he "welcomes KERIS for joining m-Education Alliance and hopes that Korea's leading cases of ICT use in education will spread to developing countries." Mr. Bloome also expects that "KERIS to play a key role as a bridge for global education cooperation in the region as the first member from Asia-Pacific region."
